      Marketing Interview

      26 Aug 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Vital Farms (Austin, TX) in Mar 2025

      Interview

Overall, the interview process seemed streamline in the begining but by the time you make it to the final interview, they have you on the hook for 6+ weeks. I had six interview calls, two online tests, and a project to present at the final interview. I understand projects are a crucial part of testing a candidates capabilities, but the entire process felt tailored towards candidates who are unemployed. The interview time slots were offered during the day (not around lunch hours) so I had to use PTO to take calls as well as PTO for the in-person travel interview with no hotel or meal comp. I was very excited to join Vital Farms' mission, but I think there should be more consideration about the depth of a project an applicant is able to deliver in 48 hours when working a full-time job and having to travel for the interview within that same time span.
