Interview
I recently completed 5 rounds of interviews for the Senior AE position at Vividly, which concluded with meeting Chris, their VP of Sales. After investing significant time and preparation, I was contacted by the recruiter who told me that the senior role had been suddenly filled and that their Q1 budgets were now "locked" only for a junior-level role. This pivot came with a $40k drop in OTE from the original $240k comp package we had discussed from the beginning.
The blatant dishonesty of this bait and switch tactic was confirmed one week later when the company reposted the exact Senior AE position at the original $240k OTE. It is clear that the claims about filled headcount and budget constraints were complete fabrications. This is a deceptive and disingenuous way to treat candidates, and it reflects a total lack of integrity within their leadership and recruiting teams.
To see the senior role re-posted shortly after being told it didn't exist is a blatant slap in the face and a complete waste of a professional’s time. I would caution anyone considering a role here to be extremely wary of their hiring practices, as they do not respect talent or operate with any level of transparency.

I’m at a loss for words and extremely frustrated at not just how unresponsive the recruiter was, but the fact that I was lied to by the job description. The role clearly was looking for an entry level/recent college grad with maybe 1 or 2 internships. I obviously checked enough of the boxes to be contacted by the recruiter. When I got to the interview with the hiring manager, I was told that he’s looking for someone with more experience while offering an extremely entry level, new college grad salary. I thought this role would be the perfect fit for me, but it’s unfortunate it came to down to this. The interview process is quick and as soon as they lose interest they will ghost you.
