Bit on the lengthy side, took about 6 weeks with me trying to move quickly at times. Rec screen, HM screen, live coding (2hrs), sys design (1.25hrs), 2 1hr calls with both co-founders. Overall, everyone was friendly, didn't experience any recruiter issue like other interview mentioned whatsoever.
I applied online. I interviewed at Voxel51 (Ann Arbor, MI)
Interview
First Step was a call with the Recruiter to see if there is a mutual fit and discuss my background
Second Step was to meet with the Hiring Manager and discuss expectations of the role and my background
Third step was to meet with someone on the team for a technical screening
Fourth step was a chat with one of the co-founders of the company
Overall, they moved really quickly

Question 1
How do you want your career to grow in the next couple of years?

Interview
One of the weirdest screening calls I’ve ever been in. Interviewer asked weirdly personal questions and was completely lacking in social awareness. They took up way too much time nitpicking my resume to the point I barely had the chance to ask them about the company before our time was up, and failed to focus on what really mattered: whether my previous experience was a good segue into the role that they were advertising. Possibly some internalized misogyny going on there. I have no idea if the company is planning on moving me forward in the interview process, but after that encounter I’m frankly not interested anymore. Doesn’t seem like the warm, welcome, and autonomous environment that is advertised in the job description.
