      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Vricon (McLean, VA) in July 2019

      Interview

Outside recruiter found my resume and contacted me, passed my information to HR rep who conducted phone interview the next day. Simple interview, as I had previously toured Vricon and met with a few employees before. Scheduled for in-person interview the next day. Met with two team leaders who spoke about the position and went over my background in depth. Not a lot of talk about the job position, spoke of how there isn't much ability to move up in the organization at that time but said could be in the future. This interview lasted almost an hour, then I met the COO. Spoke with him for maybe five minutes, had interview interrupted by CEO calling on his cell phone (understandable, because it's the man in charge). Interviewed on a Friday, was told the next Friday that they company decided not to hire. Asked for feedback from both the recruiter and the HR representative, but none was given to me...emails were not even answered. Position is more of a QA/QC role than Geospatial Analyst. Also, most people there on GA team are introverts, this is what HR told me. Be aware.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Vricon

      Interview

The recruiter contacted me by email. She set up an in-person interview. The in-person interview lasted about 15 minutes. She went over the history of the company and the type of work they do. She also asked some questions about my work experience and some personality type questions. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager for about 10 minutes. He basically just asked me to go over my experience and he asked me some questions about things on my resume. Both the recruiter and hiring manager were very friendly. I didn't end up getting an offer. I guess I was partly glad because it would have been a long commute. Plus it looked like a very imagery-heavy job with little human interaction. I'm kind of burned out with doing that type of work.
