Poor Communication: When I took the initiative to seek feedback from the individual who evaluated my code challenge, I encountered a stark contrast in communication. While this individual was helpful, it highlighted the glaring lack of communication from VueSchool's official channels. Inconsistent Encouragement: Despite the setbacks, I decided to apply for a new role within the company, with the encouragement of the same individual who assessed my previous submission. However, this encouragement proved hollow as subsequent interactions with VueSchool's hiring team were characterized by delays and disregard for my time. Unreliable Scheduling: After completing and submitting a new code challenge, I was informed that my work was appreciated and that an offer would be extended. A meeting was scheduled via Calendly for May 10, only to be rescheduled last minute due to "unforeseen circumstances." This lack of reliability in scheduling reflects poorly on the company's professionalism. Disregard for Candidates: Today, on the scheduled date of the rescheduled meeting (May 15), VueSchool abruptly canceled the appointment, citing the issuance of an offer to other candidates the previous week. This disregard for candidates' time and investment in the hiring process is unacceptable and reflects poorly on VueSchool's commitment to fair and respectful recruitment practices. In conclusion, my experience with VueSchool has been characterized by a lack of transparency, poor communication, and disregard for candidates' time and efforts. I would caution any prospective applicants to carefully consider whether such behavior aligns with their expectations for a professional and respectful workplace environment.
