I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WCVB Boston (Needham, MA) in June 2024
Interview
I was reached out first by the HR Manager for a quick phone call. This was to answer some initial technical questions like my availability, what was expected for the internship, the pay, the hours, and etc. After this, I was referred to the internship coordinator to set up a zoom interview. The Zoom interview was about 20-30 minutes long. My interviewee was very nice, and typical questions about my resume were asked. After that, I was given a phone call several weeks later with the job offer.

Question 1
Describe your experience.
Why do you want to work for this company?
What do you hope to take away during this internship?
How do you gather news?
Who are your favorite journalists?
Any questions that I can ask?
It was a very laid-back type of interview. Just asked questions about my previous journalism experience throughout college. I made sure to ask questions about the broadcast industry as well--which definitely helps to show interest.
