I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at WD (Fremont, CA) in July 2017
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter from Tegile Systems (or from a recruiting agency). The company was recently acquired by WD. After a phone screen with the VP of engineering, I was invited onsite for the next set of interviews. There were 4 technical interviews and a lunch interview with the VP. All the interviews went well and I was told that I would be informed about the results once the other candidates had been interviewed. After about two weeks, the recruiter informed me that they were interested in extending an offer and would like to schedule a call the following week to discuss the details. It's been around 2 months and there has been no communication about it. I'm not sure if the acquisition had anything to do with this but the interviews happened at least a month and a half before the public announcement of the acquisition.

Interview
Interviews were very easy and it felt like I got it until one day the "Thank you" email strikes. They kept me waiting for 44 days and told me I received favorable feedback from the HM. Worst experience ever.
1. Telephonic round by the hiring manager.
2. There was two rounds of technical interview.
3. After qualifying the technical rounds there will be a HR round.
After qualifying all rounds HR will contact you with offer letter.
All the best!

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WD in Dec 2023
Interview
Cleared 1st round & 2nd round in a span of 1 week. Later, they literally ghosted me for 10 days without any response. When I called back to the HR, I was told that my result is in hold as I have 30+ days of notice period to still serve. Even after 20 days, when I called them HR's don't have nerve to tell the next process for offer letter. Worst experience ever had!
