Too extensive. Three round of interviews including a full in person shadowing day and edit test, and then another interview. Then they called my references and then there was another round of interviews. For people they have heard since it seems less intensive
I applied online. I interviewed at WJLA-TV (Washington, DC) in Mar 2023
Interview
Met first with an HR rep then with a director. The initial interview was about my qualifications/experience then the second focused on what I was looking for in an internship and how I would handle certain situations in the newsroom
I applied through other source. I interviewed at WJLA-TV
Interview
It was ridiculous. They have you do a phone/zoom interview and then they have you come in for 6.5 hours. You interview with the entire team including the bureau chief one by one. In the middle they throw in a writing test. They bought lunch but you have to eat it at your desk while prepping for the writing and in-between all of the interviews.
