The interview process at Walgreens was pretty standard for a large corporation. It started with a thirty minute phone screen conducted by the HR department. The questions in this round were very general (walk me though your resume, interest in the company and so on).
The second round interview consisted of two, one hour in person interviews with two different managers on the team. They asked behavioral questions from a prompt and took notes while I was answering. A few of the questions asked were as follows:
• Describe a time when you suggested a change in a process or procedure because you saw the potential for improvement.
• Describe a time when you successfully anticipated a customer request (internal or external), and as a result were able to provide excellent customer service.
• Tell me about a time when you had to significantly rework a solution (or deliverable) you created to incorporate new suggestions or ideas from others.
The third and final round interview was with the director of the department. It was one hour long and was more conversational than the prior two. We talked about the role and the future goals of the division/position.
My overall impressions was that the company has a very tall hierarchical structure with a moderately conservative culture, although they were trying to modernize. The people I interviewed with were nice and I felt comfortable throughout the process.
