Application
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (London, England) in Jan 2019
Interview
I applied the role at the beginning of November. The process took a while considering I have only been contacted by the recruiter in January. It started with an initial chat on the phone and I have been invited to the interview with two designers.
The face to face interview was very casual, they did not require me to talk through my portfolio as they would like to check my personality and the way I worked.
Unfortunately, I did not get the offer based on my skillset on software and industry experience. The job description did say they're open to a range of software skillset and industry experience. But in the rejection it has highlighted that they favour candidates with more relevance to the company. If this is the case, it should be stated clearly on the job description.
Phone interview, hiring manager interview, panel interview with upper management.
The hiring manager and recruiter were great but my interview with the higher ups was a bit confusing. They were asking questions about my skills and experience that did not pertain to the job description at all; it felt like there was a disconnect between what the different teams were hiring for.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company in Feb 2022
Interview
Standard interview process. Took about 3-4 weeks. Worked with a third party recruiting service who initially reached out to me and proceeded with the usual – intro call, followed by 3 separate interviews with different people of the Walt Disney team. General get to know you questions, a few technical Q's, and each interview was quite conversational (rather than rapid fire questions).
