I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Hong Kong) in May 2024
Interview
1. Candidates check in and wait in a hotel cafe converted into an interview spot. Depending on their unique situations, they may be called up in groups of one to three. I personally was called up alone. This may not be as good as it sounds, because the groups of 3 got contracts to sign almost immediately.
2. Interviewer went over job responsibilities: selling merchandise, stocking shelves, and rotating between positions every hour and a half,
3. They then went over the range of working conditions: anywhere from indoors amongst crowds to outside in the summer heat, any time according to a preset schedule. There are breaks but otherwise a merchandiser must stand all shift. Training is also provided.
4. They then asked me to introduce myself in English. They briefly asked about my Mandarin and Cantonese abilities. They then asked if I had any hobbies. Finally, they asked if I had any questions for them. I asked around 3 in total.
5. They thanked me for coming, shook my hand, then guided me out. They said if I didn't hear from them in 4-6 weeks, I could consider myself not picked for the position.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Orlando, FL)
Interview
It was a phone interview with a recruiter and was only about 20 minutes in length! Asked about interest in the program and the questions were pretty easy interview overall!
Waiting time is long. Many candidates at the interview centre. Easy interview questions. They need people more than I need the job, it seems. Culture is good, have proper training and on boarding.
First round is phone interview, I was asked very general and basic questions. Easy interview overall, no need to worry. Just remember to attend the interview and dress well. They have an interview centre, and many attendees everday I guess.
