Question 1
Where do you see yourself in 5 years at the company.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walters & Wolf (Fremont, CA)
Interview
Initial call included questions relating to work history and interest in the position. Provided base salary info of 65K and setup in-person interview with a lead PM and PE. Interview lasted 30 minutes during compensation conversation, W&W asked, "What do you make now?" I was completely caught off guard by the question. I found it unprofessional and out of bounds as this question is illegal to ask in the state of CA. Moving forward, I was asked this question two more times by W&W, twice by their HR Manager. Future candidates, please do your research and prepare for this question, and prepare to reference the CA Salary History Ban which puts this question out of bounds. 2nd In-person interview was with the President of the department, 1:1.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walters & Wolf (Fremont, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Interview process was quick. Employee from the engineering team reached out directly (not HR) and got the interview scheduled. At the interview, asked mostly behavioral questions and then they walked through what they work on.
