I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wasserstrom (Columbus, OH) in Feb 2025
Interview
I received a link to complete a virtual interview. The questions were displayed on the screen and I had 2-3 minutes to record a video answer. After completing my virtual interview I was contacted by an HR Generalist to schedule an in person interview with the hiring manager for the position. The day before the interview I received an automated email saying the position had been filled. HR called me to let me know they decided to take the position in a different direction but still thought I was a strong candidate and wanted to try to find a position for me; he asked for permission to forward my interview to their sister company. After not hearing anything for a few days, I was shocked to see the exact same "Event Coordinator" position posted online. I emailed the HR generalist to inquire if I was being considered for the position and never received a reply.

Interview
I applied for the position online and a few weeks later received an email about being interviewed for the position. The interview is an online process where you read questions then have a timed response ranging from 1:30 - 3:00 minutes. It was very impersonal and I felt hard to get a point across. The interview process should be a combination of leaning about one's past history, strengths & weaknesses but also a way to feel out a persons personality to see if they are a good fit the position and company. I understand that one on one interviews take time but I felt it was hard to get the point across of my past accolades in sourcing as well as my wins. I think that Wasserstrom HR needs to revisit this process as you could be missing out on several candidates who might be a great fit for your company.
