Invited to apply on LinkedIn. Interview with HR. Timed Excel case study. Interview with Partners. Call with current employee (at my request). Everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Interviews were not high pressure at all and all were conducted over the phone.

*What is your favorite Excel function?* A lot of the questions centered around how you had made an impact/solved problems at previous companies, your ability to work independently, manage large datasets, and general accounting knowledge and experience.

Interview
My experience with Waylin Partners was extremely disappointing. After multiple interviews and being told references were being checked — a step that clearly signals intent to hire — the firm abruptly ended the process.
Conducting reference checks and then reversing course shows a lack of professionalism and respect for people’s time and reputations. Unfortunately, this behavior appears consistent with other reviews I’ve since read.
CANDIDATES should stay away, and CLIENTS should think twice — how a firm treats candidates often reflects how they operate with clients.
