I recently went through a recruitment process with WeCan Group/Caricature24, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. From the beginning, it seemed promising as I was invited to complete a detailed SEO task for their upcoming market expansion in the UK. However, the process quickly became drawn out and frustrating. After the initial task, I was invited to a group interview with five other candidates. The interview went well, and I was hopeful for the next steps. However, I had to wait for three weeks before I was called in for another lengthy one-on-one interview that lasted over an hour. It felt like a significant investment of time and effort on my part. To my disappointment, just recently, I received an email stating that the company was not ready to offer me the position. While rejections are a part of the job search process, it was disheartening after such a long and involved recruitment process. To add insult to injury, I was offered a discount code for their webstore as a consolation. Frankly, it seemed out of place and irrelevant, as they are not a major software provider like Microsoft. The overall experience left me feeling undervalued and unappreciated as a candidate. Companies should strive to communicate their decisions in a respectful and professional manner, considering the time and effort applicants put into the process. While I cannot speak to the company's work environment or culture, based on my recruitment experience, I would caution other potential candidates about the lengthy process and the disappointing outcome. It is essential for organizations to handle rejections more sensitively and refrain from offering unrelated consolation prizes. Note: This feedback is based solely on my personal experience with the recruitment process and does not reflect the company's overall operations or its suitability as an employer.
