Interview
I interviewed with Volley back in August. The process was clear and the people were fantastic. You could tell everyone was very down to earth and really excited about their work. Very cool company

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Weekend (San Francisco, CA) in June 2025
Interview
First, a screening call with the recruiter, then a 30-minute call with a hiring manager. Finally, a 1:1 coding interview and a behavioral interview (back to back). At that point, I was ghosted.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Weekend in Mar 2025
Interview
Despite developing games since 2016, this is the first time Volley is hiring for a dedicated game designer. Something about the same LinkedIn job description being reposted repeatedly over four months suggests they're going to keep looking for one. I got the impression that their experience in interviewing for non-technical roles was quite limited. I experienced a fairly typical interview structure for tech companies like this: preliminary screening, a hiring manager interview, a lead interview, an onsite interview, and then the offer stage.
