I applied online. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Raleigh, NC)
Interview
Rude, Unprofessional, Inappropriate: Tenure Doesn't Automatically Equate to Interviewing Capability. Female Interviewer, of the two (other was a very pleasant Male), overtly makes sure you know she has the power and leverage over you as the interviewee. She makes it perfectly clear that she will deem you worthy of their special club or cast you aside with a wave of her hand. Although I, to some degree, respect that Wegmans has been her only, sole job for 18 years since she was 16; her pompous, arrogant demeanor fueled by that fact is quite alienating. Perhaps her approach works with 'new to the job market' teens and/or others that anxiously need to find work, but not with experienced, true professionals who have options. Sadly, she likely mistook my humble, good-hearted nature for weakness and an easy target. She truly tainted the high esteem I held for Robert Wegman and the amazing company he built!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
As she critically looked me up and down: 'Tell me what exactly you eat on a daily basis?..and be specific!' In response to me politely asking about the specific role and pay level: 'You don't need to know that! We will tell you when we feel you need to know!'

Interview
They were great and super kind. I really enjoyed how they engaged in the interview and actually wanted to know about me. Seems like a great place to work! I was offered a position closer to home or I would have taken it!
The recruiter was reading off a script and it was a very sterile and weird feeling interview. Prepare answers for various basic questions but either use GPT or have them written out. It was not conversational.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Tysons Corner, VA) in May 2024
Interview
The whole interview lasted 30 mins, by phone. The interviewer spoke very fast. He never judges your answers but keeps typing all the time. Many questions to answer, about 5-6.
