Interview
I had a 30-minute video interview with someone from HR, and it went well. Or so I thought... I was scheduled for a second-round interview, and on the day of it, I was told the person had travel issues and they re-scheduled for 48 hours. I try to be flexible despite my work and interview schedule. The next day I got an automated email from HR saying they were moving on with other candidates. I emailed thinking it was a mistake, then the manager canceled our interview without a word, and the HR person replied, saying they already have a person. Very frustrating! This is sloppy and unprofessional behavior. Reading the reviews, it sounds like the less they waste my time, the better. Also, a mutual connection worked there a year or so ago and told me they weren't surprised this happened. They re-posted the job the next week, too. Yikes! Do better next time.

Interview
Really disappointing experience. First, WellBiz worked through Henkel Search Partners to fill the position. The partner who I worked with through Henkel Search partners was complete garbage. She was an enormous flake and was incredibly unresponsive.
I finally had an interview with the CFO of WellBiz. It was a 30 minute conversation. I thought it went well and there were no issues. I reached out to Henkel Search partners to get the CFO’s email to thank him and express my continued interest in the position. The partner at Henkel Search partners wouldn’t give me the email address. I ended up sending a thank you note to the CFO via LinkedIn. The CFO didn’t respond to me (which honestly is just rude). Ultimately they ended up going with a different candidate months later who has significantly less work experience than me and also didn’t have an MBA. I just think the overall experience was disappointing, lacked integrity and was generally unprofessional.

It was pretty basic. Didn't seem like a purpose driven and energetic work environment. I could tell this company had real leadership issues and no clear strategy. I can see why a couple of their brands struggle. But I understand they made a CEO change, which clearly looks like a good move.
