I applied for the Wellbeing Engagement Manager role and was initially impressed by the company's mission and the professionalism of the recruiter I spoke with.
Unfortunately, my experience of the recruitment process was disappointing. My initial recruiter interview was rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict. After successfully progressing through that stage, I was invited to meet with the hiring manager. However, when I joined the interview, the hiring manager did not attend. I later learned that there had been a time-zone error and that the interview would need to be rescheduled.
A few days later, I was informed that the position had been placed on hold due to changes in business priorities and budget allocations.
I fully appreciate that hiring freezes and organisational changes happen, and I understand that these decisions are often outside the control of recruitment teams. However, having experienced multiple scheduling issues and having invested a significant amount of time preparing for the process, the overall candidate experience felt disjointed and poorly coordinated.
On a positive note, communication from the recruiter was polite throughout, and I was told that my qualifications and interview performance had been well received.
I remain positive about Wellhub's mission and wish the team the best, but I hope future candidates experience a more streamlined and reliable recruitment process.
