i was contacted by a recruiter via one of the job sites.
to cut to the chase: she was very frustrated with westlake as she felt i was a very qualified candidate and their response time to her was barely existent. she was a very good recruiter as she kept going at it and when they finally read my resume they acted like it was her fault that i hadnt been presented sooner?
that right there was a major redflag for this company.
in any case a video call was set up with the whole team consisting of five members from the CEO to HR and sales i believe.
upon the video interview only two of the five members even bothered to turn on their cameras. whats the point of a video call of members of the "team" cant even be bothered to turn on their cameras? and you have the audacity to wonder why your manufacturing processes are in limbo? smh
that was red flag number two.
the last red flag was the interview really consisting of the "team" trying to get me to solve their problems over the call, or what i call "free consulting". highly unethical. the last question came from the chief HR manager basically asking me if they hire me, how do they know i will stay? or in other words, "you are over qualified for the position." so, if you felt i was "over qualified" why did you waste my time and YOURS even scheduling the call?
all i can say this company reviews on here and other sites are valid. i definitely dodged a bullet and really the salary was much too low... id say stay away from this company unless you want to be a scapegoat.
