What is the difference between QA plan and Test strategy
Anonymous
Hi, My name is Rajeev Tandon. This is my take on a test strategy and test plan. A test strategy shall be with the help of a BA and/or PM hence QA as a technical aspect of the strategy. From 10+ years of experience a test strategy is a document the is an outline/design of how the testing shall be done, (a roadmap). How will this be tested, who will be testing, and who will be reported to which cannot be changed once confirmed. A test plan consists of more detail of a the objective/scope/roles the team will play in the project. This will include risk, happy/negative paths that will conclude the testing efforts. The test plan is a more descriptive approach of the testing and can be changed at a project level. QA is a passion. Not a job :)
