I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Whirlpool Corporation (Milan) in Feb 2017
Interview
5-step process: online application, online tests, phone interview, Google Hangouts Interview, two-day Assessment Center. After the assessment center you get a yes, no or maybe - with a maybe you might have to do an extra interview, a personality test or a business case. The whole applicant experience at Whirlpool was nothing but a positive one - super well-managed (I was informed within a couple of days after each of the steps if I had been chosen for the next step) and they gave feedback after every step. Assessment center consists of interviews (one-to-one and panels), business case presentation, business game simulation and networking lunch.
I got an offer but declined as I had received another offer better suited my career goals.

Interview
Skype interview. Lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. Went over previous work experience, what I learnt from the jobs, what I could improve on. Overall was more of a conversation about my experiences. Also asked about my strengths and weaknesses. The Skype session was fairly informal, was quite conversational and I found the experience to be quite enjoyable.
