I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whitecroft Lighting (Manchester, England) in Feb 2014
Interview
It was an assessment day with around 15 contenders. We each had to introduce ourselves and say what we believe is the best invention in the world, then we were given a long presentation on what the company was about, which I find just weird, wouldn't it be basic to do research on the company you are applying for? Anyway, 4 short "tests" plus an interview. 1xMath, 1xEnglish, and 2xTeam exercises. Then at the end one by one we got interviewed in a room with a panel of 4-5 people including the Director and you get asked a bunch of random questions. I would say if you have no problem with interviews then being asked these random questions would be refreshing, I didn't get through because my nerves and inexperience got the best of me and I was completely stunned by the type of questions I was asked. A lesson learned! Just a tip, think outside of the box.
