Wholesail Machine Learning Engineer interview questions

I applied through recruiter reach out. After recruiter screen, talked to HM and he gave signal to the next step which was a take-home assignment which is derived from their use cases. I spend a day on the assignment. In a follow up discussion, HM said that my work was impressive. This gave me the impression that I would be moving to the next steps. But surprisingly, a few days later I received a HR email that we are not moving forward. It really disappointed me given I put a lot of my time and energy on the take-home project.
