Participating in a selective process is a super delicate and anxiogenic situation that only must include the candidate and the hiring company. Do not, for any reason, doesn't matter the formality followed by this company to show professionalism, never EVER ask for three past references without having the real intention to hire the candidate. WCSC seemed to play with my time and the time of people linked to me, asking for three references to a third unknown person that they had never seen in life to assure my qualifications somehow. If you need the validation of people you don't know to check the background of candidates you elected as capable of filling the position, even after two exhaustive hours of technical questions that were repetitive and disruptive, it says more that you are not qualified enough to hire, manage and develop any kind of candidate because you don't seem to know the professional with the exact skills you need, but rather what the candidates do best at selling themselves. That's dangerous. Clearly, there are no accurate metrics applied for decision-making. The company I used to work for had contracted me in a certain position to do a qualified job while paying me 3 times less than I deserved for 5 years. They made promises to fix my role from day one and pay me properly but this never happened. They owe me money until today. There are several labour lawsuits against this company filed by former employees. Do you think that I am comfortable reaching them and asking for references after that? Do you ever think that I want to get in contact with managers who exhaust employees as much as they can? Also, no candidate feels comfortable asking for references within the company they still work for. There is no fairy tale within capitalism where this can be seen as a harmless movement, do not be silly. Now I feel like I put a target on my forehead after asking an internal manager to reply to your 12 exhaustive questions most of them I already have replied and others can be easily found on my resume. If you thought I was unfit for the position, you would have dismissed me after the interviews. Stop putting people in situations like this. That was humiliating. Is the second time according to Glassdoor - and you keep going. Despite the low mood of not being selected to be part of the project that I would gladly contribute to and that I was genuinely excited about, somehow I also feel like I dodged a bullet.
