I submitted my resume online. Shortly after, I received a call from a man who conducted the initial phone interview. He told me that he is VERY SELECTIVE in the hiring process. He added that he is forwarding my resume to another person who will conduct the 2nd phone interview. The interview process was conducted by phone because it is a remote position. He told me that Williams, Charles, & Scott only has a turn-key office in Commack, NY. The first interviewer works out of a home office in Longmont, CO; and later, I found out that the 2nd interviewer works out of a home office in nearby Boulder, CO.
The second person, a man, did not show for my 2nd phone interview. I reached out a few times to reschedule. When we connected, he told me that there was an issue within his family. He also said that Williams, Charles, & Scott has a legacy dating back to 1983.
He hired me, and I spent the next few days setting up my home office with direction from a third Williams, Charles, & Scott employee. I was told that there are 5 employees who work for the company.
I emailed my contact twice about my payroll/direct deposit, and I did not hear back from this person as I set up my home office. I had been told to set up my home office prior to my February 27, 2018 start date, which makes sense; but I had not received confirmation about my direct deposit/how to submit bank information.
I researched the company and found that one of the employees is a registered sex offender, so I withdrew my acceptance. I cannot say that Williams, Charles, & Scott tried to cheat me of any money. I researched the company because I was bothered that I did not receive instructions on how/when to submit my bank information for direct deposit. From my research I found that Williams, Charles, & Scott has employed a registered sex offender, and I do not want to work with a pedophile, so I decided not to work there.
