It was a first-stage interview and the interviewer lasted for about 30 minutes.
Prior to the call, the interviewer was in touch via email however the response time from their end was very slow and it took a while to confirm a date and time. On the day of the call there was a lot of background noise. The interviewer seemed distracted by a colleague's birthday celebration taking place in the background as they sang Happy Birthday. At the end of the call, I was told I had progressed to the 2nd round of interviews - after a week without an update, I followed up via email with no luck. To my surprise, I received an email 4 months later saying that "we have decided not to move forward with your application".
Unfortunately, the recruitment process was very disappointing. It was disorganised, displayed very poor communication, as well as a lack of respect, professionalism and consideration.
