I recently had my first interview with a Senior Recruiter, and it was the worst interview I’ve ever experienced. Within the first five minutes, she asked for the minimum salary I would consider for the job but refused to provide a salary range. She was quite rude and didn’t want to answer any of my questions about the position until I provided my answer. After I responded, she indicated that the position was undervalued compared to the market. This entire situation could have been avoided if they had: 1. Posted the salary along with the job description. 2. Politely stated that the salary for the position was $X and asked if I would be willing to accept it at that rate. To add to the insult, she ended the conversation by suggesting that I look for other jobs at Wolters Kluwer on their website. Thanks, but no thanks! I would not want to go through this experience again.
