I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Women's Real Estate Investors Network in June 2023
Interview
First call with HR was great. However, the second interview was the worst interview experience I've had. First, the interview started 30 minutes late due to technical difficulties. Also, I was told that the call would just be HR & one other person, but when we finally did get on the video call, I was surprised to find more people on the call than what was told to me. And I was even more surprised to have a robot voice tell me "you are being recorded." Never have I ever been recorded during an interview, and I would think that the company would have some sort of legal obligation to ask your permission to record. That being said, these little surprises all threw me off enough, and then the team started throwing questions at me and it felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. The company is young and growing, so I'm sure that these are details they can adjust as they build out their recruiting process. However, a word of advice, interviews are already stressful and nerve-inducing enough for candidates, and you're doing yourself a disservice by making some candidates more stressed out than necessary. When candidates are more stressed out, they are more likely to underperform in the interview and hinder your ability to really gauge the candidate's skills and ability to do the job. There is plenty of debate out there out there discussing the pros and cons of panel interviews, but if your team prefers that interview structure, it’s especially important to prep your candidates accordingly (who they will be interviewing with, the fact that they will be being recorded and the purpose of being recorded, etc.), and to try and build some rapport/connection with the candidate so it feels less like an interrogation.

Question 1
How do you go about sourcing when a role opens up? Experience with recruiting processes? What job would you have it money wasn't an issue? Comfortability with religious organization (sometimes prayer during meetings)?

Interview
The interview process was pretty swift. They contacted me via text to coordinate interviews for both rounds. However even after several followups, I haven't heard from them since my second interview.... They should respect applicants by being transparent with a response.
