I applied online. I interviewed at Wonolo (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2018
Interview
Talk about rude! The recruiter was very condescending and belittling. I felt like I was being quizzed instead of interviewed. I hardly had a minute to talk about my experience and background, because instead I was asked about my knowledge of engineering.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wonolo (Denver, CO) in July 2021
Interview
The interview process is very smooth and well balanced between the interviewer and you as the interviewee. They lay out exactly what to expect at the beginning of each interview (who you will talk to, how long, what types of Q's to be prepared for, etc.) and they prioritize your time to ask questions at the end which I really appreciate as most companies will leave 2-5 mins if that. They focus on this being a two-way street

Question 1
Be prepared as you would with any interview on how to describe yourself, why you feel you're a fit, behavioral Q's, etc.

Interview
My interviewer was late, had to reschedule multiple times, and seemed very uninterested. They mentioned they would follow up with next steps, and I failed to hear from them. This was unfortunate coming from such a highly rated company for culture.

Interview
The process was very organized and my point of contact, Vivian, was consistent in keeping me updated. She provided a lot of details for what to expect in the interviews which helped me feel more at ease. I was nervous about the Tao interview (meeting with 6 people) but everyone was super nice and made me feel really comfortable. I had a few 1:1s and one was via VC. VC interviews can be awkward, but he was really engaged which helped the interview go smoothly. All the interviewers were very welcoming and you can tell they were passionate about the company!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most of the questions were about your experience or behavioral questions. I didn't feel that the questions were super intimidating or pressured to give a certain answer; it seemed like they genuinely just wanted to know more about me and if I'd be a good fit for the role!
