Application
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Work for Progress (Denver, CO) in Sept 2012
Interview
They hire people with short turn around via phone and video chat interviews. Their strategy is to hire, then dump people they don't want (about 25-40%). They like to play loud music in the background to give the impression that this is an exciting place to work.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Didn't ask many questions. Idea is to assess whether a person has basic ability to communicate and wiling to put up with slave labor conditions.
The hiring process could be a little confusing--the recruitment director calls several people a day, so the scheduling call came across cold and impersonal. However, the interview was excellent, as the interviewer really knew what he was looking for and kept the interview short while still managing to ask in-depth and useful questions. There's not a lot of "get to know you" time--the interview was right to the point.

"Tell us about a time when you had to work really hard."
