I applied online. I interviewed at Workato (Barcelona) in May 2026
Interview
Professional recruiter and smooth process.
For a Senior Frontend Engineer role, I expected more discussion around architecture, modern Angular, AI-assisted development, engineering impact, and real-world product challenges. Instead, a large part of the interview focused on JavaScript internals, event propagation, Promise behavior, edge cases, and native DOM APIs.
The interview felt highly standardized and more focused on a predefined question set than on evaluating real-world engineering experience and the value a candidate could bring to the product.
Overall, the process felt more focused on passing an interview than on demonstrating engineering impact.
Positive note: the compensation range discussed during the process was competitive (around €90k–€110k)

Interview
Interview process involves several stages: a recruiter screen to assess background and goals, An initial technical screen with a short list of technical questions, Assessment for practical skills, Two technical interviews including live coding and a culture/values interview to gauge fit with the team
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Few questions on Angular/TS/JS/CSS/Security fundamentals.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Workato (Tbilisi) in Nov 2022
Interview
We had a lot of steps (3 interviews and a practical part) and a very long and stupid review at the end. After I spent several days making practical parts the reason for the decline was not pixel-perfect implementation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The practical part was an implementation of the reusable tables in Angular without any outer dependencies.
