Our interview process consists of an initial phone call, 3 short evaluations--one of which is on Excel skills and the other two are abstracted versions of logic problems we solve on a regular basis for clients, and ending with a 1.5hr interview with the owners. The evals are very much related to post-training activity at WP.
In the first weeks of training, we concentrate on teaching foundational skills in a series of lessons and follow-up work that help new staff to develop knowledge and skill. During this period, new employees are provided extensive guidance, feedback, and support. It is unfortunate that this person did not make it far enough to experience the bulk of training or the work we do.
