I participated in World Data Lab's recruitment process, which involved five interview rounds with a total of 8 different people. While the HR team was consistently friendly, the process appeared disorganized, with repeated questions across interviews, confusion about which role I was being interviewed for and delayed follow-ups. Unexpectedly, I was assessed on sales knowledge, unrelated to the role, and tasked with an extensive case study that required two full working days to complete and required me to create an entire project proposal for a future project of theirs. This raised concerns about the company's professionalism and the potential misuse of candidate efforts. Despite my extensive experience, I felt undervalued, especially when communication ceased without explanation after the final round. Overall, the experience suggested a misalignment between the company's expectations and offerings, and left me quite disappointed despite the interesting work the company does.
