I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Worldwide Flight Services (New York, NY) in Jan 2020
Interview
My friend referred me to this company. I sent in an application on Indedd and I was emailed about a WFS open house. I got my resume ready, researched the company and in two days went to the open house.
Guess who got hired? Not me, but somehow everyone in the group I came in with did. I was in a dress shirt and tie and everyone looked like they just came off a corner. It took me 20 minutes for me and few others to find the open house because they moved it. After finding the room. They had me sign and read the responsibilities of the ramp agent position. After signing it I was called over by a hirer. She first sees my resume and asked me why isn't there up to 10 years of work experience. I told her my resume shows my most recent jobs and educational experience and the application shows the last 10 years of my work experience. I mean seriously? Doesn't isn't she supposed to know that. After she opens the application and says that's not 10 years it's 8. Then I said that job from 8 years was my first job. I was in High school 10 years ago. She also asked if I'm going for FT or PT? I said FT. She said there is only PT position available. Then I said the invitation said there was both. She tried to change the story up by saying they were interviewing in the next room for FT Ramp Agent positions. Yet in the next room it was for another type of position. How do I know this? Because I entered that room eariler and they told me. Next she started asking basic questions of which I answered efficiently. After the fifth question she lies to my face saying they'll call me within a week. How I knew she lied to me because a group of guys told me, the person that interviewed them said come back in two days. It's obvious she got into her feelings that I corrected her and she tried her best to throw me off with basic questions every interviewer asked. WFS stop giving hiring power to people that have a clue how hiring works and will lie and not hire someone over something small.
I interviewed at Worldwide Flight Services (SeaTac, WA)
Interview
Quick and formal. They want to make sure you understand what the job is and what you will be doing. High turnover so interviews are quick and to the point.
