      Senior Level Interview

      17 Nov 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Greenwich, CT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at XPO (Greenwich, CT) in Aug 2016

      Interview

9 interviews all via video conference. Interview questions were vague, more conversational. No process outlined or defined assessment expectations. Word of caution to any candidates being considered for Director level or above. You will be scheduled with someone from what they like to term, "Due Diligence." The individual will begin the interview with traditional intention and then half way through begin an interrogation about your background/character/financial status/legal matters status/ - try to intimidate you. Justify that the reason for these questions is based on the CEO long time approach of vetting candidates in this manner. Warning bells - culture of bullying? HR nightmare? Etiquette?

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

As mentioned, spoke with someone in Due Diligence and they asked the following questions: 1. Have you been terminated from a position? 2. Did you embellish your resume? 3. Have you sold or consumed illegal drugs? 4. Have you sold or consumed illegal drugs in the past 12months 5. Do you have any liens or bankruptcies? 6. Have you ever taken legal action against a company you were employed at? 7. Have you ever taken legal action against another employee from a company you worked at? 8. Where would you rank your financial status? 5 - being wealthy and 1 - being poor? 9. Rank how you value honesty and integrity 10. What other offers are you considering? Where are they? Who are they with? When are you interviewing with them? 11. Where does XPO rank on the list? If we offered you a position tomorrow, would you accept it? I could keep going but I think you get the gist. It does not matter what level you are interviewing for, this is a complete violation and screams "we bully, we judge, we discriminate."
