      Interview

Interview was very informative. They were able to breakdown the expectations and requirements. Also gave a tour of the facility. We went over prior experiences and education background. I was able to observe the day to day process in the warehouse. And socialize with a few of the other managers that were present.

      Operations Manager Interview

      1 July 2022

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at XPO (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2022

      Interview

The interview process was extremely long. From initial contact with their recruiter to "final" interview was over two months. Each of the people I interviewed with were kind, professional, and seemed to want to make the right decision. The main problems were- follow-up after each interview was lengthy, usually at least a week between interview and next steps. I had to prod them it seemed, or I wasn't getting any feedback. I interviewed with 5 different layers of management, so it quickly got frustrating. If they were able to stack the interviews in a more timely fashion, this would not have been an issue. Also, at lease twice I was told the next interview would be the "final" interview, only for another one to crop up. I understand (and can even appreciate) their desire to get the right candidate, but between the sporadic follow-up and the next "final" interview, it seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. In fairness, I understand that the division I was applying with was spun off at the start of this process, so that may have played a role. After the "final" interview I didn't hear anything back for over a week, and after a while assumed I didn't get the job. No problem, I understand. But it took me reaching out to them multiple times to multiple people to confirm that was the case. In conclusion, just because you've made it to round 3, 4, or 5 with this company, don't think you're getting the job. They seem nice, but also pretty unsure of themselves.

      Question 1

The location I was interviewing for seemed to have had issues in the past, so the questions were geared towards walking into a difficult situation, and if I could handle it.
