      I interviewed at Xplor Technologies

      Interview

I was contacted on a Monday to set up an interview. I replied within 45 minutes of receiving the interview request providing my availability for that week as they requested. I didn't hear back so I followed up on Wed. Didn't hear back again so on Friday I found the general email on their careers page to let them know the recruiter was not responding. They finally followed up that next Sunday. We set up an interview for the upcoming Tuesday. In the interview the recruiter stated that he was sorry for not getting back to me because he was out of the office all week. Really? So you ask for my availability and you were out for that week anyway? Not sure if this was a planned leave or not, but in any event, is there no back up plan here? Just leave candidates hanging for a week? I did not appreciate this or the silence that came with it for a week. When we did have the interview, it felt rushed and there weren't many questions. It was mostly just a "tell me about yourself" and they talked about what the company does. Scheduled for 30 min and it was pretty much over within 15. During our discussion, I realized that I am overqualified for the position because what I was going to be asked to do, was only about 60% of what I was doing in my last role as a Customer Support Manager. I was not moved on in the process. I've asked for feedback and hoping to get it, but the way correspondence has been thus far with the company, I am not optimistic that they will follow up with my request.
