      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Yes Energy

      Interview

I was excited about the opportunity and invested significant time in the interview process, ultimately completing three rounds, including a conversation with the CHRO. Unfortunately, the experience highlighted several concerns about the company's recruiting and communication practices. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent. I was repeatedly told that updates or next steps would be provided within a certain timeframe, only for weeks to pass without any communication. In several cases, I had to wait two to three weeks between updates, creating unnecessary uncertainty and making it difficult to gauge whether the process was still active. The final stage was particularly disappointing. After interviewing with the CHRO, I received no follow-up, feedback, or closure regarding the outcome. Being effectively ghosted after multiple interview rounds reflects poorly on the candidate experience, especially for a leadership-level role. Beyond the communication challenges, it was difficult to gain a clear understanding of the position itself. Different interviewers appeared to have different expectations for the role, and there was no consistent vision of the responsibilities, goals, or success measures. As a candidate, it left the impression that the organization had not fully aligned internally on what they were seeking. The company promotes a positive culture and places emphasis on employee experience, which made the disconnect between those values and the recruiting experience particularly noticeable. While every hiring process has challenges, timely communication, candidate respect, and role clarity are fundamental expectations—especially when candidates are investing hours of preparation and multiple rounds of interviews.
