Great experience overall. Everyone is kind, knowledgeable, and transparent. Last one is always appreciated. Long process but they were very transparent about it which means they want to find the best fit. Felt uneasy about the activity because they have very strict guidelines on the individuals they recruit for their main roles. These guidelines make it so a lot of the employees are the same. A bit disappointing for a company being located in one of the most diverse cities in the world. A large population is being overlooked, often times due to systematic oppression, limiting people of color in tech. Besides that it was a great interviewing experience and everyone was super communicative. Overall process took 5-6 weeks.

Interview
I had an initial video screen with the Director of Recruiting, who also happened to be the hiring manager. Our conversation went over the allotted 45mins, so she offered to meet with me again to answer my questions about the company and role. After this conversation, I had a 30min interview with another team member. Next, I was asked to complete a take-home exercise. This included a 30-min clarification call, where I could ask clarifying-questions about the task itself. After submitting the task (which had a 3-day turn-around), I was asked to complete a second exercise: a mock interview call. The final step in the process was a marathon interview round where I met with a total of 6 employees across 5 interviews. The interviews were back-to-back and each 30mins long.

Interview
I really enjoyed my interviews with YipitData! Although the interview process was extensive, they were very transparent throughout the rounds and quickly moved the process along. They also required an assessment that gave me a real perspective of how the position would operate. Overall, everyone I spoke to was very welcoming and I had a great overall experience!
