Horrible experience. Full of miscommunication.
Had first round with the HR, I was told to expect a response in next couple of days, then a week later I get an update.
I was asked to do a case assignment (multiple csv, sql and marketing analytics related stuff), After I spend a couple of days on it and submitted it, I didn't receive any update for another week. not even acknowledgment of receiving my submission.
Then after a week HR scheduled a call which is to discuss my case assignment, but then during the call, there are 2 other analysts doing a tech round.
So after 2 rounds and a case assignment, i didn't even speak to the hiring manager.
Quite a roller coaster of disappointment through and through.

I got through two interviews: the first one was with the talent specialist, and the second one - with the hiring manager and a senior team member. Both experiences were very pleasant, nicely structured, and well thought through. I also appreciated the clarity and transparency of the recruitment process overall.

Interview
It started after the summer break as people came back to offices. First stage was with the recruiter, which are always rough because you get insight into the company but not exact details about where your experience fits into a position. Then, I got an assignment which asked me for some test cases and an optional automation script. This was done without talking to anyone in engineering or QA. It was not good enough, it felt rushed but it had enough details where you can see the mindset of how someone may test. I got rejected. I always felt that doing an assignment without talking to anyone from the team you may be working with leads to a lot of misplaced expectations and creates pressure for candidates. I feel I have to do something a certain way without understanding a preference because different people have different standards. Not too bitter about the loss, seeing as how this position is not filled to this date.
