Interview
I was contacted directly by ZOLL and interviewed by phone and a few days later was requested to interview in person for the position. The sales manager spent more time telling me I wasn't what he was looking for than he did about the position. He made it out to be the most technical sales position ever. He never warmed up, no matter how much I tried to direct the interview in a positive manner. There are plenty of us that have held/conducted job interviews of our own and I can't think of a more negative experience, no matter what chair I was sitting in. I didn't need the interview experience and it felt like I was just filling an interview slot.

There were no difficult questions. Just a bad interviewer who didn't appear to be a real personable individual.

Interview
The process started with a phone screening, followed by a 45 minute personality assessment. After doing well on both I was invited to an in person interview. I was dressed appropriately and prepared for the interview. The hiring manager showed up with a chip on his shoulder. He was derogatory and rude the entire time. It was a painful interview. He asked very few questions, was not conversational at all. When he was finished he just stood up and looked at me like "you are dismissed".
I have been in the industry over 13 years. He is the first person that I could not hold a conversation with.
I knew I was not his favorite, but the company should have at least sent me an email saying that I was not moving forward.
