Zebra Technologies Software Engineer interview questions

The interview process itself was okay, 1 virtual interview and 1 face-to-face interview in the Zebra Colombo office. However, after this, I was sprung upon the question of being asked about my previous salary slip and pay information. This is very unprofessional and should not be asked from candidates. Salaries should be awarded based on merit, knowledge, experience and the job role/description. I firmly mentioned that i will not share this info, and afterwards i was dropped from the selection process, which is very unethical and a complete waste of my time.

My interview experience with Zebra Technologies was fairly average. The process began with a technical round where the interviewer mainly focused on discussing my projects. I was asked to provide detailed explanations about my role, contributions, and challenges faced during these projects. Additionally, there were questions that assessed my knowledge of JavaScript, along with other technical skills that I had highlighted on my resume. The final HR round was more of a general evaluation. It was aimed at confirming whether my core fundamentals were solid. The interviewer checked my understanding of basic concepts to ensure that I had a strong grasp on foundational topics. Overall, the interview process was straightforward and focused on my project experience and technical skill set, with an emphasis on practical understanding and application.
