I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ZestyAI in July 2023
Interview
I recommend avoiding dedicating an extensive amount of time to homework tasks before gaining a clear understanding of the job's nature and the company itself. The application process begins with a brief 15-minute HR interview, followed by an extensive homework assignment including a business analysis and a Python question. Should your homework meet their standards, you progress to two further rounds of interviews with the hiring manager and senior product manager. The interview with the hiring manager typically centers around a typical business case. The other interview involves live coding in SQL and Python. This distinctly deviates from the typical product manager interview approach. Personally, I invested many hours in completing the homework (possibly more than necessary) aiming to outshine other candidates. During the interview, I asked for feedback on my homework. Surprisingly, none of the interviewers examined my homework in detail. So the homework is your ticket to the interview, nothing more.
