I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zonar Systems (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2017
Interview
I feel like I was setup for failure. I had applied for a TPM position but at the end of the interview process I was told I would be a better fit for a Development Manager role that was open. They wanted to know if I would be willing to come in the following week to interview for this position. I agreed.
I interviewed/met with 15 different people during the 2nd interview loop. I was there from 8:30am to 2:00pm. The interview process itself was fine and at the end I was pretty encouraged by my interview loop. The problem is the company hires by committee. This means that EVERY person you interview with has to say "yes" to you being hired. If even one person has doubts, you aren't hired. This might not be a big problem if you meet with 5 or 6 people but how in the world do you ever get 15 technical people to agree on anything?
In the end, the recruiter stated they wanted someone with more leadership skills. That's fair enough but at the end of the conversation the recruiter also stated they were going with an internal candidate anyways. If they had already decided on an internal candidate, why was I brought in for an entire day when they had no intentions of hiring anyone external in the 1st place?

Questions on conflict resolutions, scrum management, standard managerial questions.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your schedule to meet with the team. We actually do not hire with committees, in your instance you came in for a TPM interview and we selected another candidate for the role, and tried to find another role for you at Zonar, unfortunately, the second role you came in to interview for was not a fit either. We wish you success in your search. Please dont hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
