I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Zoom Communications in Jan 2022
Interview
It was pretty straightforward:
1. Recruiter Screen
2. Hiring Manager
3. 2 rounds with Engineers for 90 minutes each
4. Hiring Manager + Director
5. Negotiation with Recruiter
The last round with the recruiter was unprofessional and quite frankly a terrible experience. I gave my TCO range to the recruiter and they told me that they would be able to match it, but required me to commit to the offer if it were given to me. The issue I have with this is that I was not even given a written offer yet, but was pressured to verbally commit. At the end of it, I did not even receive the offer, even after verbally committing. This is the worst interview experience I have personally had.
TLDR: The recruiter pressured me to commit to an offer that was not given to me yet. After verbally committing, I was not given an offer.
