Recruiter call, take home assignment, then ghosted. Thought I did really well on the take home assignment too. Didn’t get a response even though I was told I would hear back in the upcoming weeks.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zoox in Nov 2024
Interview
Interview process took around a month, from being first reached out to my the recruiter to my rejection. Started off with a questionnaire, then hiring manager interview, and then back to back interviews with 2 engineers. The hiring manager interview was more technical, while the engineer interviews were more resume based. Really negative experience with the 2nd engineer who seemed uninterested in hearing about what I had to say. Recruiters were very friendly though. After the last interview, I was in the dark for 2 weeks before rejection.
Initial screening, basic questions about background, included questions like tell me about yourself, Why are you interested in this role, Why do you think you fit into this role. The next round would be a technical assessment.
