Phone screen with a recruiter, then a call with the hiring manager. Typical phone screen, the hiring manager was young and lacked experience. Never managed prior, which was a big red flag. If they like you, then Zoox will send you a take-home test. This test is highly subjective and unclear, details are missing, and you must score 80% or higher to make it to the next round of onsite interviews; otherwise, they will reject you. I received the test and found the questions extraordinarily vague and could have multiple answers depending on the approach. I completed it and had to make assumptions on many to the best of my ability. Then submitted it to the recruiter, but I received no response; 2 weeks later, I reached out to the Recruiter for an update and was told I failed the test, and they wished me the best of luck. The lack of communication was the first red flag, then thinking about the format of the test and no info provided on what was wrong with the responses I provided, which from my perspective, were in line with the correct solutions. This is another big negative of Zoox and would never pursue anything with them again. I had a gut feeling this wasn't the role for me, and I nearly did not submit the test. I now wish I never did since it was a very negative experience.
