To clarify our process: the first “interview” is actually a phone screen conducted by a recruiter. This is simply a touch-base to ensure alignment between what the candidate is looking for and what we’re hiring for — including things like salary expectations, goals, and role fit.
The next step is a webcam interview, also led by a recruiter. While our recruiters may not be accountants, their role is to assess cultural alignment and confirm that a candidate has the foundational accounting knowledge required for the position. The in-depth, functional interview(s) focusing on technical accounting skills come afterward and are conducted by our hiring managers.
Altogether, our process includes a phone screen and up to three interviews. While some may view this as a lengthier process, we see it as thoughtful due diligence — both for the company and the candidate.
