adidas reached out to me to have an interview, I didn’t apply for the position. I spared my time to meet them and let them know that I was excited about the position, etc.
As far as I understand, you don’t let the candidates whom you reach out know that they’re eliminated. I found out about it through LinkedIn, when the person hired shared a post about it.
If you won’t inform a candidate regarding their evaluation process, don’t communicate it during the interview such as ‘we’ll let you know’. If I have to apply through your ATS or share my resume with you, communicate it. Direct the candidate, so that they don’t have to check their LinkedIn or e-mail to get an update from you.
